I just uploaded our Gwon Bup combo's 1-5 if anyone is interested. We use the Gwon Bup's instead of one step sparring. There are currently 18 combination's based off of what worked for me over the last 31 years. These combination's are basic and many might ignore them because of that but the idea is to have simple 1,2 combination's that can be connected or interchanged to make longer combination's or adapt and change in the middle of one. Teaching this method has had a huge positive impact on my students verse the traditional one steps.

The full article has more detail and pictures about the different fighting styles A,B,C and D, tactics etc.

Yep, that worked. Thanks.  >bow

I used drill religiously from Chuck Norris' book "Winning Tournament Karate." These remind me a lot of some of those drills.

We use these drills instead of one steps. Each one teaches a strategy in a specific order and can be combined with the others to form longer combination's. The students sparring abilities improved dramatically when practicing these combo's verse the traditional one steps. In other words they 'get it' a lot quicker. Just the whole A,B,C, D concept has them understanding sparring on a level that normally would take a lot longer.

Then we can go from self defense right into combos or vice versa.  Something that may be common sense to you and me but not so for less experienced members. So having a systematized but adaptable way takes them a lot further faster.
